About the CEVC Program
This program is a court ordered service which ensures the safety of children while visiting with their non-residential parents. CASA makes it possible for children to spend quality time with their non-residential parents in a safe and neutral setting. This setting is crucial for the well being of a child, especially when restraining orders, court orders, or other circumstances may require a parent's interactions with his/her child or children be monitored. Trained volunteers, assisted by security officers, provide a neutral and safe setting where parents and children can spend time together until issues are resolved and/or alternate arrangements are made for parenting time. This program provides an accurate means of recording both parties' compliance with the rules and guidelines of the program as well as any current court orders. Both parties must complete an intake before any visitation can take place.
Child Exchange and Visit Center
Services Provided
Supervised Visitation
This service ensures the safety of children while visiting with their non-residential parents. Trained volunteers, assisted by security officers, provide a neutral and safe setting where parents and children can spend time together until issues are resolved and/or alternate arrangements are made for parenting time.
Monitored Visitation
Monitored Visitations are similar to Supervised Visitations, however, these visits are a less restrictive environment. The family may not be supervised for the duration of their visit. Typically, these visits are monitored a minimum of once every 15 minutes and documentation is kept on those observations. This is ideal for families that do not have a safe, neutral setting for visitation or when families are transitioning from Supervised Visitation to Monitored Exchanges.
Monitored Exchange
This is a service that protects children from witnessing any conflict between their parents. The Child Exchange and Visitation Center staff maintains a neutral setting in which parents can exchange their children. The service is provided until issues are resolved or alternate arrangements are made by the parties involved.

Resources
SVN is an international non-profit membership organization consisting of a network of agencies and individuals who are interested in ensuring that children can have safe, conflict-free access to parents with whom they do not reside when there is family conflict or it is deemed that a parent's access to a child should be supervised.
"The Kansas Crime Victims Compensation Board provides victims with financial assistance for loss of earnings and out-of-pocket loss for injuries sustained as a direct result of violent crime. This includes reasonable medical care, mental health counseling or other services necessary as a result of the injury. In the event of the death of the victim, reasonable medical expenses and the partial cost of funeral, burial or cremation is reimbursable. Personal property loss is not covered, with the exception of clothing and bedding seized as evidence. The program is administered by the Crime Victims Compensation Division of the Attorney General's Office."
